How many of you think that mental health is the same as mental illness? We hear so much about those who struggle with mental illness and how difficult it is for them and their loved ones. We hear stories from those who have overcome their struggles and are now living a life worth living. And then there are those who are not ill but find their lives not miserable but bland and directionless. Mental illness and mental health are on the opposite sides of the same continuum, from illness to wellness, with an empty area in the middle where there is no illness, but no wellness, either. We all fall somewhere on that continuum at any given time in our lives. Here at GSWC we offer different levels of services and support along this continuum.
